My kinda game, Throwball

ThrowBall, My Passion

I love this game. It was in my 6th grade that I first got introduced to this game. My sports teacher and a senior were the ones who got me introduced to this game. I can never forget the first day when my senior threw the ball to me to catch. It was so powerful that I broke my middle finger and it blew up like a balloon. After 15 years, still I can feel a small hump there. Since then there was no looking back and I loved this game. I was the school champion.
There are three ways of serving the ball that I do.
High serve : I would push the ball so high to the opposite court that opponents can usually not guess where it will land
Close to the net flat serve – this is a great one. It will hit the opponent on her face directly. Difficult one to handle
Cross court serve – Name says it all. Serve the ball to the cross end
Roll serve – You should twist you hand while you serve so that it gets the ball rolling

I usually change my service and do all the four alternatively.

There are nine players in the game and 2 substitutes. It is rotational service system. Players move their position after a service cut.
My favourite is the middle (2). That’s the best position to receive the ball and give a smash. I used to make the best use of this opportunity. To be a all-rounder and cover the entire court, the best position is 5.

When I started the game, it was 15 point system and while I quit the game it changed 21 point system.

I feel it is more a woman game and I think every woman should enjoy this game. It has its game rules and is awesome to play. It is a great team game. Playing Throwball improves my concentration, will power, self confidence and more to say, team spirit and bonding. Kudos to Throwball.
